The World Water-Tech Innovation Summit welcomed over 400 international utilities, regulators, engineering firms, technology giants, start-ups, and investors to exchange insights and identify future partners on February 22-23, 2022.

Celebrating a return to live events, the summit hosted in-person sessions and networking in London with a live audience of 285 delegates in the room, extending to a global audience via the interactive livestream. 119 global speakers shared ideas on a net zero carbon future, open data systems, new approaches to drought and flood resilience, and optimising water and wastewater networks.

Keynote: UK Environment Agency

Opening the Summit with a keynote address, Sir James Bevan, CEO at the Environment Agency addressed the most pressing issues in the global water sector, including water quality, water resources, and the climate emergency.

“If we are serious about protecting and enhancing our waters we need to start with the facts. If we are to frame the right response and leave our environment in a better state than we found it, we need to know what state it is in now.”
